Hotel Folketeatret is in one the the most well-known buildings in Oslo, and one of the most fantastic art deco houses in Norway. The building was drawn in the 1930s and was inspired by the Empire State Building in New York. Populary called the skuscraper, the building served as the norwegian Opera untill the new Opera opened in 2008.

In addition to being a à ala carte restaurant, the hotel breakfast is also served at grilleriet. Grilleriet is a living meeting place in the middle of Folketeaterpassasjen. here you can help yourself to a breakfast, or eat dinner. You may also meet new aquaintances in the evening.

FOOD IN THE PASSAGE
Grilleriet
Newly refurbished restaurant adjacent to the hotel. Most food is cooked on a coal-fired grill, with a menu based in local seasonal produce.
Schiller’s Tapas
A small and intimate restaurant with a spanish menu. This means tapas, from simple potato and meat-dishes, to endive salads with a duck confit.
Cantina Cortina
Serves an authetic italian menu based on seasonal produce. Simple, affordable light meals, served in Folketeaterpassasjen.
You will find the hotel dining room and lounge in the 7th and 8th floor. Here you can eat and relax in a large lounde in pleasant colours. The 8th floor hotel terrace has a view of Oslo.
Here you find coffee, teas, iced water, and fruits, all day. In the afternoon we offer home-made waffles and home-baked bread, and in the evening we serve a light meal.
With us you shall always find calmk and a feeling of returning home. That is why we offer a evenintg meal between 18.00 and 21.00 every night.
